Nature - a Question of Economic Interest

The World Economic Forum annually releases its Global Risks Report. In the latest report, loss of biodiversity is identified as the third biggest global risk to the economy in 10 years.

"More than half of the world's GDP is partly or heavily dependent on nature. This makes biodiversity loss an economic issue."

Biodiversity loss is already affecting the business of many companies. The issue has therefore moved up the agenda of global business leaders, and the focus is expected to increase further in the future.
