Climate and Biodiversity in Synergy

The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, IPCC, in its latest report of 2022 states, among other things:

  • Over the last ten years, global greenhouse gas emissions have continued to rise.
  • We are already seeing the effects of climate change.
  • We need to accelerate the energy transition to meet the 1.5 degree target.
  • One positive trend is that the cost of renewable energy, such as wind and solar, has fallen sharply.
  • We need to protect and restore natural ecosystems to protect our communities from the effects of climate change.
